It's About Your Relationship with Jesus
The message is simple. It's about a personal relationship with Jesus.
You don't hesitate to check mark "Christian" to identify your spiritual state. You may have been baptized as an infant. Perhaps you were raised in a Christian family. You believe Jesus is the Son of God and your heart warms at Christmas memories of baby Jesus in a manger. You figure that's proof of your Christian identity.
But something is missing. You attend church and do what you think is expected of a Christian. But God feels distant and you live a life that looks like those who didn't check mark "Christian."
What's missing? A relationship with Jesus. You need to be born again. You've experienced physical birth and now it's time for a spiritual birth. And that begins the transformation. You begin to see the world differently. Your priorities shift. You'll find you become more like the One you are in relationship with - Jesus Christ. What a journey!
Don't feel foolish because even learned religious leaders at the time of Jesus needed clarity....
"...I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.'" John 3: 5-7 (NIV)
So how will you take your first steps?
